Apple Cinnamon Oats


INGREDIENTS

For the apple topping

  • 1 large Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Gala apple, diced

  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar

  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon

For the oats

  • ½ cup rolled oats

  • 1 cup Mariani Original Walnutmilk

  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon


INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Make the apple topping.  Add the apples, sugar, and cinnamon to a skillet over medium heat.  Sauté for 5-7 minutes, until the apple is soft and tender.

  2. Add the oats and walnutmilk to a small saucepan over medium heat and bring to a simmer.  Simmer for about 8 minutes, until the oats have soaked up all the milk.  Stir in the maple syrup, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.

  3. Add the oats to a bowl and top with the apple topping.  Serve and enjoy!
