• 2 chai tea bags

  • 2 whole star anise pods

  • 2 cinnamon sticks

  • 2 dried cardamom pods

  • 1 1/2 cup Mariani Original Walnutmilk

  • 1/4 inch knob of fresh ginger (optional)

  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

  • Honey to taste, optional


  1. In a small saucepan, combine the chai, whole spices, Walnutmilk and ginger (if using).

  2. Bring to a boil, give a stir, and with the back of a spoon, press the tea bags to release more of their tea.

  3. Turn off heat, cover with a lid, add vanilla and let steep for 5 minutes.

  4. After steeping, strain liquid through strainer into a mug, stir in honey and sprinkle with ground cinnamon, if desired.
