VANILLA WALNUTMILK CHAI
2 chai tea bags
2 whole star anise pods
2 cinnamon sticks
2 dried cardamom pods
1 1/2 cup Mariani Original Walnutmilk
1/4 inch knob of fresh ginger (optional)
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Honey to taste, optional
In a small saucepan, combine the chai, whole spices, Walnutmilk and ginger (if using).
Bring to a boil, give a stir, and with the back of a spoon, press the tea bags to release more of their tea.
Turn off heat, cover with a lid, add vanilla and let steep for 5 minutes.
After steeping, strain liquid through strainer into a mug, stir in honey and sprinkle with ground cinnamon, if desired.
